I grew up mostly alone, which is where the reserved part comes from. I also sing in front of people, captained a robotics team, and will talk to anybody. Both are true at the same time.
The guitar is the thing I pick up when I need my hands busy and my head quiet. It came before most of the code did, and it has outlasted a few things I thought I was more serious about.
I sang in choir, and I still sing. People assume the reserved part of me means I would not get up in front of a room. I have been getting up in front of rooms for years.
Basketball is the one that survives every busy season. School, competitions, university, whatever else is on fire — I still end up on a court. It is the closest thing I have to a reset button.
I ran athletics all the way through Federal Government College, Ikom, and played football whenever it happened. Competing early taught me the thing I keep repeating: showing up prepared beats showing up gifted.
Bodies are machines too. I train, I run, and I like that progress there is impossible to fake — you either did the reps or you did not. It is the same feedback loop as building, just slower and more honest.
Marvel, DC, Disney XD, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, KidsCo. They genuinely made me want to do good and become better, and I still apply things I learned from them. I do not know who I would be without this. It is part of the Source, and I will happily argue about it.
I have covered roughly sixty percent of the country, plus a decent amount outside it. I photographed almost none of it, which I regret more the longer I think about it. That is the one gap on this whole site I cannot go back and fill.
Premiere for the cut, DaVinci for the colour, After Effects when it needs to move, CapCut when it needs to be fast. I lost all my old professional work, so the reel is being rebuilt from zero. Winning the Going for Gold content challenge in 2026 was the proof the skill did not go anywhere.
I write, and the research work has actually started — I am with FUTO-RISERS in the Sustainable Energy and Green Technologies cluster. Nothing published yet, which is why this is listed as something underway rather than something I have done.
Calabar Tech Conference, JCI presentations, endless data science presentations at Aptech, and pitching AURA at Hack4FUTO. Explaining a thing well turns out to be a separate skill from building it, and I have had to learn both.
Privately. I was very clear about the privately.
I drew a lot when I was younger. It faded when everything else picked up, but the eye it trained is still doing work every time I open an edit or lay out an interface.
“They genuinely made me want to do good and become better. I don’t know who I would be today without this.”
Marvel. DC. Disney XD. Cartoon Network. Nickelodeon. KidsCo. Not a guilty pleasure and not nostalgia — the actual foundation of the part of me that wants to build things that help.
Pitching AURA. The badge says Builder, which is the only job title I have ever actually liked.
